About Eustis Investing Strategies
We provide unbiased and convenient U.S. Exchange Traded
Fund (ETF) analysis, information, and ratings. Our site is
supported by advertising supplied from third parties and subscription
fees. We do not
deal directly with our advertisers to prevent any perception that could
compromise our advice to
our customers, and we deliver our fund evaluations using the convenience of
the internet.
We focus on ETFs, because of their lower annual costs
compared with mutual funds. Our company President, Alex Eustis, was
quoted by the Wall Street Journal on April 10, 2006 comparing the
costs of ETFs to mutual funds in the article "Investors
Switch to Popular ETFs".
These funds provide diversified investments
with real-time trading that eliminates the trading abuse opportunities that
have plagued mutual funds. Fund types covered include HOLDRs, iShares,
Powershares, SPDR, streetTracks, Vanguard ETFs, and WisdomTree. We offer access to:

Exchange Traded Funds
ETF assets continued to grow by
31% in 2005 and ended the year just under $300 billion. Since the
first ETF was created in 1993, these funds have grown tremendously to over
300 funds in 2006.
ETFs generally have lower expenses compared
with mutual funds even low cost index funds. The average ETF has an
annual cost of 0.42% of assets compared with 1.41% for actively managed
mutual funds and 0.86% for index funds according to Morningstar Inc.
ETFs invest in indexes rather
than being actively managed like many mutual funds. But passive
indexes doesn't mean you accept poor performance. An index like the
Vanguard 500 Index has beaten 60% of all actively managed domestic stock
funds over the past ten years, and many other profitable investment
strategies are available using ETFs.
For more details, our ETF page provides a detailed
explanation on this investment type.
